# Trading with the mouse
In Metascalp, orders are placed through the exchange order book. Orders below the spread are limit orders from buyers, while orders above the spread are limit orders from sellers.
### Opening a LONG position.
To place a limit order to go long, left-click below the spread

To enter a long market trade, left-click above the spread.

### Opening a SHORT position
To place a short limit order, right-click above the spread.

To enter a short market trade, right-click below the spread.

### Removing orders
Orders can be removed by clicking on the cross to the right of the order or by clicking on the order with the mouse wheel.
### Stop/pending orders
Stop orders are placed by pressing the hotkey and left mouse button.

### Stop Loss and Take Profit
Stop loss and take profit are placed by pressing the hotkey and left/right mouse button.

### Full closing of a position (Mode:closing order).
To place an order for the full volume of a holding position, press the Left Alt hotkey and LMB\RMB.
